My name is Alvaro Cox. I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Yale University. My primary research topic is the intersection between Macroeconomics and Development Economics. In particular, I focus on the role of human capital to induce firms' growth.

 I will have the opportunity to be a full-time researcher at the Department of Economics at the University of Oslo in 2024. In 2025, I am thrilled to join the Department of Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid as an Assistant Professor.
